New for 2017/18 session: Owl Competition

This is a new competition introduced this year - it may be particularly suitable for companies that have smaller numbers in their Anchor Boy section.

  1. Give each boy a piece of white card
  2. Make hand prints of the Boys' hands on the card
  3. Leaders should cut out the prints when dry
  4. Download the Owl template from the Downloads Section of this website
  5. Save the PDF file of the Owl to your PC or data stick
  6. Either take to a local printer/copy shop to print off size A2 or go to an online print service such as Solopress . (This will cost approx £20)
  7. Boys should stick their hand print on the printed Owl template the following week
  8. Boys can colour eyes, nose and feet of the Owl with paint using fingerprints
  9. Please write your Company name and a Leader's contact name/no on the reverse side from the Owl

Due to the size of this and the delicate nature of the art work it might be best to hand deliver to Newport. Please pack carefully whether posting or hand delivering.
Return to NIHQ by: 19 January 2018 .

Anchor Boy Challenge 2017/18

The Anchor Boy Challenge is designed as an activity you can do with your boys with minimal preparation, in your own hall. The activities can be used as part of the Anchor Achievement.

Anchor Boy Project 2017/2018 - Downs Syndrome Association

Downs Syndrome Association NI has been selected as the Anchor Boy Charity for the 17/18 session. The Down's Syndrome Association (DSA) is the only charity in Northern Ireland, focusing solely on all aspects of living successfully with Down's Syndrome. Their aim is to help people with Down's Syndrome live full and rewarding lives.
